Women Sarmayeh Bank Made History Snatching 5th of Asia
Women Sarmayeh Bank of Iran beat Thongthin LVP Bank of Vietnam in straight-set victory to finish 5th in the Asian Club Championship.
As the public relations of volleyball federation reported, Iranian women with their new Slovenian head coach blanked Vietnam in straight set (25-23, 25-17, 25-23) and made their first ever historic rank at 5th place of Asia. The national volleyball team of Iran participated in AVC Women’s Club Championship under the name of Sarmayeh Bank. On overall seven matches, Iran had four wins against North Korea, Chinese Taipei, Philippine, and Vietnam and three losses against China, Kazakhstan, and Thailand. The 17th Asian Women’s Club Championship started on September 3 with 12 participating teams in Philippine and lasted up to September 11, 2016. Iran team will depart to Vietnam to take part in AVC Women’s Cup.
