World Men’s U21 Champs/Poland Championed The World Title
Brno / Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, July 2, 2017 – The team of Poland triumphed with the gold medals at the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship Czech Republic 2017! The Polish team mastered a 3-0 (25-20, 25-10, 25-19) victory over Cuba in Sunday’s final in Brno to crown this generation of young players’ brilliant rise to manhood with yet another title. Their captain and charismatic leader Jakub Kochanowski was awarded as the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
This squad already has the gold medals from the U19 World Championship in 2015, the U20 European Championship in 2016, the U19 European Championship in 2015 and the European Youth Olympic Festival in 2015 in their showcase, so the U21 title was the logical continuation and conclusion of the time these volleyballers spent together in the youth national teams of their country.
