Yermek: Proper Organization is a Hallmark of Iran’s Hosting of International Volleyball EventsSatisfaction with the Quality of the Competitions
Yermek Syrlybayev, the Head of the Control and Technical Committees for the Men’s Asian Club Volleyball Championship, emphasized that Yazd has been well-organized for this event. He noted that Iran has good experiences in organizing suitable events for AVC and FIVB in both indoor and beach volleyball.
According to the Communications Department of the Volleyball Federation, on the third day of the championship being held in Yazd, Syrlybayev remarked, “This is not my first time in Iran; I have attended many international events in this country. Last year, I worked in Urmia, and two years ago, I was involved in the World Championships in Tehran. However, this is my first visit to Yazd, and I am impressed by the excellent organization in this city.”
He praised the efforts of the Volleyball Federation and local authorities of Yazd, adding, “Iranians organize and present these competitions at a high level.”
Regarding the group stage matches, Syrlybayev expressed his satisfaction with the quality of the competitions, stating, “This tournament is very good because eight teams are performing at a high level, featuring star players including Olympic champions from the French national team and many renowned athletes from Cuba, Brazil, Russia, Ukraine, and other countries.”
He emphasized that this event serves as a preliminary tournament for the Club World Championships scheduled for December, noting that the top two teams—champion and runner-up—will qualify for the global competition. “All teams have prepared well for this official match,” he added.
Addressing some challenges faced during the competition, Serlibayev mentioned that there were issues on the first day. However, thanks to effective communication between national organizers and operational staff, these problems were resolved, and the matches are now proceeding well.
He expressed optimism about future events in Iran, saying, “Iran has a good experience in organizing events for both AVC and FIVB in indoor and beach volleyball. I am very pleased with this year’s competitions and look forward to future events.”
